Water Efficiency & Turf Removal Rebates For Businesses, HOAs & Other Commercial Sites Available From Our Partner Agencies

Rebates are available to fund irrigation system improvements and turf replacement projects for both commercial and residential properties. Homeowners Associations, all businesses, as well as governmental and municipal facilities qualify for commercial rebates.

The Metropolitan Water District, in partnership with local water suppliers, funds rebates for residential and commercial sites, including rebates for weather-based irrigation controllers, rotating sprinkler nozzles, turf replacement, and rain barrels and cisterns. Specific requirements must be met to qualify for each program, and rebate amounts vary by location. 

Rebates can be significant. For example, commercial addresses in Montclair, Chino, Chino Hills, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, and Fontana can qualify for a rebate of $3 per square foot for up to 50,000 square feet of turf removal and replacement with a qualifying waterwise landscape.

Commercial addresses in these cities can also qualify for a rebate of $35 per station to install weather-based irrigation controllers.
