Schedule a Tour

CHINO BASIN WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

Garden Tour Policy for Schools within CBWCD boundaries

The purpose of this SOP is to define and coordinate the District’s operations in regard to the scheduling of school tours at the District’s Demonstration Garden and learning center.  Additionally, the District’s methods of payment and eligibility policies for busing are defined.

A.      Scheduling – All tours of the Garden and learning center will require a two week advance notice by phone, fax or mail to the District as to the time and date of the requested tour.*  The District will complete a confirmation form and will fax it back to the school.  Each school will be required to make their own arrangements with the busing company as to the scheduling of tours to the District.

*District may accept reservations of less than two weeks if there are no conflicts with District staff schedules.  Tours are scheduled no earlier than 9:00am and preferably between Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Tours average one hour and fifteen minutes long, give or take fifteen minutes.

B.      Methods of Payment – The District will either compensate the bus company directly upon receipt of an invoice or bill from the bus company, or if the school has paid the bill, the District will reimburse the school upon receipt of invoice and accompanying bus company bill.

C.      Eligibility – All schools within the District’s boundaries are eligible to participate in tours of the Garden and learning center with busing costs paid by the District.  The District boundaries include the Cities of Montclair, and Chino, and portions of the Cities of Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Chino Hills and Upland.
