Mr. King has been a resident of the City of Upland for 30 years.  Along with his wife, Pamela, of 34 years, he has raised two grown children.  He has been a director for the District since January of 2002.

Mr. King has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of California, Riverside.  He is a Registered Professional Engineer in California.

Terry retired from the Army Corps of Engineers in 2007 as the Area Engineer for the Southern California Area Office after 37 years of federal service. As Area Engineer, he managed the Corps' construction program from Ventura County to the Mexican Border and east to the Colorado River. During his tenure with the Corps of Engineers, Mr. King's responsibilities included engineering and construction management on many flood control projects in Southern California, including the Seven Oaks Dam project on the Santa Ana River in San Bernardino County. He also managed the Corp’s natural disaster response as well as the Corp’s Military Construction Program in Southern California. Terry is currently employed as a Senior Project Engineer for AECOM, a Multi-National, Architectural and Engineering Firm.

Terry is a Vietnam veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  Additionally, he has the following professional and personal affiliations:
