Goats have become part of Chino Basin Water Conservation Districts weed abatement program at the College Heights Basin and the Montclair #4 Basin.  Not only are they environment friendly, the goats bring a bit of the country to our city life.  The goats have become part of our education program; a real showstopper on our children's tours thru the demonstration garden.

George, Liz, Chris and Katie Gonzales have helped make this all possible by their generous help in taking care of the goats physical needs as well as training the staff in the care of goats.  One day George came along and saw the five little goats we had purchased to weed our Basin.  He contacted us, since his business is goats, and volunteered his time to help.  He has been a true good-neighbor. We thank him and his family for making this venture successful.

The kids where they belong...in the basin.       AND........the kids when they got out in the park...I guess the grass

                                                                                      really was greener.

Maybe she feels safer in here?                                              Our original mama goat, coming up to say hello.
